When it comes to educating our kids, STEM learning plays a huge part. I will be honest, for the longest time I did not know what STEM was, but became very interested after asking my 11-year-old about it and seeing how excited she was to explain it to me. Since STEM focuses on science, technology, engineering, and math it is something that I am happy and excited that my girls are focusing on and learning. With that said, when I buy my girls toys, as I’ve stated in previous posts, I focus on choosing toys that stimulate learning. Now that I know what STEM is, I’ve discovered that there are quite a bit of amazing STEM toys for kids of all ages.
STEM Toys for Kids of All Ages
Geomag Toys: This toy company has been creating toys that foster creativity and learning since 2008. They offer a wide variety of toys that encourage learning through the science of magnets. Geomag toys have a wide range of toys for all ages. Here are a few of my favorite STEM toys: Goemag Safari Park and Geomag Polar Animals.
Edushape: Edushape has been creating educational toys since 1983. They have a wide range of toys that encourage little ones to explore and experiment. They even have toys for kids as young as 10 months old——–> Edushape Water Magic Cube. Another toy that Edushape offers also focuses on STEM, in addition to motor skills, logic and reasoning, and hand-eye coordination. Take a look at Edushape to see everything else they have to offer, you will be amazed.
Fisher Price: So many of us have grown up with Fisher-Price toys. I am in love with this company because their toys do an amazing job and encourage learning and also stimulate a child’s mind. One of their newest toys is the Think and Learn Code-a-Pillar.
Stomp Rocket: I have never met a kid that does not like a rocket. For 25 years, Stomp Rocket has been providing entertainment for kids of all ages and supports STEM learning. Take a look at everything they have to offer —-> here.
As parents, it is important that we encourage learning any way that we can. With that said, when you choose toys, try to look at each toy and research to see if it is a toy that your little one can learn from. It is never too early for your child to learn.
