5 Reasons My Family Loves Disney's Beach Club Resort

During our 2nd trip to Walt Disney World, we wanted to stay on Disney property but we wanted to make sure that the resort we chose made sense to our family. At the time our trip consisted of 2 adults, 1 teenage daughter, and 2 preteen boys, so after careful research, we chose to stay at Disney’s Beach Club Resort and looking back, it was the best Disney decision we’ve ever made. If you are deciding on which Disney resort to stay at for your family’s Disney trip, I’d love to share with you 5 Reasons My Family Loves Disney’s Beach Club Resort.

5 Amazing Reasons My Family Loves Disney's Beach Club Resort

When we visited Disney’s Beach Club Resort we were lucky enough to stay for 2 weeks and since we were able to stay for so long, we had the chance to take time and enjoy the hotel instead of rushing each day to make sure that we didn’t miss any parts of the awesome Walt Disney World theme parks. Of course, not every resort at Walt Disney World is the perfect fit for every family, but if you are trying to decide on which one is the best for your family hopefully the 5 reasons that my family loves the Disney Beach Club Resort. can help you decide.

  • Stormalong Bay: The pool at Disney’s Beach Club Resort is more than a pool. It’s a majestic masterpiece and deserves it’s own zip code! I know that sounds silly, but I don’t know how else to express my excitement. The first thing that my family noticed was the huge shipwreck that has a fun waterslide coming off of it and then the size of the pool. Wait, did I say ‘Pool?’, I meant to say ‘Pools!’. There are pools for all ages. They have a lazy river, a shallow pool with sand, a regular size pool and more. You could spend hours here. Here is the perfect website that can visually give you a better idea of what Stormalong Bay looks like.
  • The Boardwalk: After a long day at the park, it’s fun to walk the Boardwalk. The nightlife on the Boardwalk is amazing. Each of my kids got a caricature and every other night we stopped at the candy store, which sadly, is now closed. The Boardwalk is a nice way to get out of the hotel and relax.
  • Easy Access to Epcot & Hollywood Studios: A simple boat ride or a short walk can easily get you to one of these amazing Disney parks.
  • Hotel Restaurants: After staying at Beach Club Resort, Cape May Cafe became one of our favorite character buffet restaurants. The food was delicious, the service was fantastic and the ambiance was perfect for the kids. In addition, it was in our hotel, so we didn’t have to stress about making it on time to early morning reservations. In addition to Cape May Cafe, there is an ice cream parlor called Beaches & Cream Soda Shop. This is the best place to cool off after a long swim at Stormalong Bay. If you have a large enough family, you can order the Kitchen Sink. 8 scoops of ice cream covered with every topping.
  • Lobby: Let’s just say, it’s beautiful. There are gift shops and snacks. In addition, it is very inviting, relaxing, and comfortable. The staff is amazing and the decorations around Christmas are breathtaking.

There are so many amazing Disney Resorts to choose from. When you are planning your trip, it’s important to research very carefully which resort is the best for your family and which one falls in your price range.
