It is rare that I make a creative breakfast for my family.
I normally make simple eggs and bacon or serve them a stack of pancakes.
One day, however, when I was scrolling TikTok I found a video of sausage wrapped in french toast. (you can find my TikTok @boomchica1867)
My family is not a huge fan of french toast so I decided to put my own spin on it.
I decided to make Breakfast Sausage Tortilla Rolls.
These are not only kid-approved but quick and easy to make.
Breakfast Sausage Tortilla Rolls Ingredients:
- large tortillas- cut in half
- bacon- cooked and crumbled
- sausage links, cooked
- cheese slices
- butter (I used Chef Shamy, cinnamon & brown sugar honey butter)
- toothpicks
Breakfast Sausage Tortilla Rolls Steps:
- melt butter in a pan
- place 1/2 of a cheese slice onto the end of the tortilla
- place a piece of sausage & some crumbled bacon onto the cheese
- roll the tortilla & close with a toothpick
- add tortilla wrap to the heated pan with melted butter
- cook for 30 seconds, then remove toothpick and cook the other side for 30 seconds
- do not overcook but continue until cheese is melted and tortilla is golden brown
- remove from pan & enjoy
