If you have curly hair or if you have a child that has curly hair then you know that the struggles of having curly hair are real.
Throughout the years I have tried more products than I can remember. I have spent a great amount of money on products that I thought would be amazing but ended up ruining my hair and then were tossed into the trash.
I’m also a mom that has a child with curly hair. Throughout her life, I have struggled with removing tangles from her hair along with trying to find the perfect detangler and conditioning treatment. Like my hair, it has been a struggle.
Since I have experienced many struggles due to my curly hair and have used a lot of different products, I want to share my favorite products for curly hair.
It is important that when you read my recommendations that you know that not all curly hair is the same. It may also be important for you to know that I have color-treated hair and for the most part I am white.

When it comes to products for curly hair I have learned a few things that are very important and that can make a big difference in the quality of your hair.
- Do your best to buy sulfate-free products.
- Avoid alcohol in your hair products. Alcohol can dry your hair out.
- Change your hair products every few months. I have discovered that if I use the same product for a long period of time that it stops working how I need it to work.
- Do not shampoo your hair every day.
- Consider allowing your hair to dry naturally.
- Do not always put chemicals in your hair. If you know that you will be staying home, wash your hair, comb it out and go natural for a day. You might be surprised at how fabulous it ends up looking.
