Tips on Disney Pin Trading

My family loves all things Disney! We love the movies, the cartoons, the toys, the characters and the parks. We really love the parks and have been lucky enough to go 4 times with our kids. It wasn’t until right before the 4th time we were preparing to go that I discovered the art of pin trading! After listening to my favorite Disney podcast, 3 Moms and the Mouse, I decided to make a Disney pin order through Mouse Pins Online. In an effort to help out the Disney pin trading newbies or those that are thinking about starting, the amazing owners of Mouse Pins Online and I have compiled a list of tips on Disney Pin Trading. This list will hopefully help you get started and also decide if you want to get started.

Tips on Disney Pin Trading

  • Shop smart– When my girls were 6 & 7 years old, I decided to purchase them a few starter packs from Mouse Pins Online. I did not know if my girls would enjoy pin trading and since they were so young I did not want to pay top dollar for Disney trading pins, so I ordered from Mouse Pins Online. The pins were perfect and my girls loved them!
  • Have fun– Make fun memories with Disney pin trading and make it fun.
  • Pick pins that make you happy– If your child is pin trading, let them make a pin trading selection that makes them happy. It may not be the perfect pin but if it makes them happy, let them trade their pin so they can have a fun keepsake that they love.
  • Trade pins with Disney Cast Members– When it comes to trading with Disney Cast Members, know the in’s and out’s. I found this great and informative site that will help you. In addition, when searching for Disney Cast Members to trade pins with, search off the beaten path, such as Disney Custodial Cast Members, out of the way stores, attractions, and areas that are not the newest or the greatest.
  • Trade 1 for 1– As a rule of thumb, trade 1 pin for 1 pin.
  • Avoid Pin Trading Drama! Disney pin trading is meant to be fun, so avoid any type of blog or message board that may have nay-sayers. Some might say that any pin with a scratch or nick is worthless when in reality these pins are still tradable and sought out.

If you are new or are thinking about getting started with Disney pin trading, I hope that these tips on Disney pin trading have helped.
