Every year my girls love to pick out a special present for their teachers because they love them so much. We normally gift them a bundle of lotion from Bath & Body works or a gift card from their favorite restaurant; however a few years ago after I saw a friend of mine post something awesome on Facebook I thought I would change it up a little. To make Christmas a little bit more special, my family decided to gift my girl’s teachers ’12 Days of Christmas’.
The ’12 Days of Christmas’ gift can be used for not only teachers but for co workers, neighbors and friends. It’s a simple, creative and fun way to give gifts.
- Paper & ink
- 12 small gifts- such as snacks, small lotions, candy, drinks, popcorn, drawings, cards, stationary sets, etc..
- Create a simple tag or note to place on each gift per day.
- Note can say ‘On the (insert day) day of Christmas, (insert name of giver) brought to you, (insert name of gift)
- Choose 12 gifts and place a label on each gift per day
- Give one gift a day

This is such a cute idea, my kids would love to do this for their teachers! Got any tips to save a little money when both kids have multiple teachers?
Lots of baked goods AND check out the after Christmas sales (socks, candles etc.. ) for the next year.
Awwww I want to do this with my future children! Christmas is my favorite time of the year because everyone is so giving!
I love this idea! Fun and creative and surely a hit with teachers.
What a lovely idea, really creative and thoughtful 🙂 x
Such a fun idea! We have an advent snowman counting down the days here, it’s exciting to watch the kids being excited. 😉
This is such a great idea. I have been trying to figure out what to do for a couple of my neighbors.
I do this during Teacher Appreciation. It is a lot cheaper to come up with smaller gifts than bigger ones. I never thought of doing this for Christmas.
This is so nice, though there isn’t really any tradition of sorts to give to our teachers a gift; but it would be fun to do with my daughter!
I really like the idea! Sadly, here we do not have the tradition to bring gifts to teachers.
What a sweet gift idea. I think it’s perfect!
This is so creative indeed – might as well try to do it!
These are great ideas. I have found it really hard to find gifts for male teachers. My son is in the 1st grade and his teach is a man most gifts seem more geared toward female teachers when I look for ideas.
Such a simple but really great idea, it is budget safe and I’m sure it will make the person intended of the gift very happy; I love this!
Such a cute idea! I love that it gets gifts to people you may forget once in a while. I am all about getting fun stuff for people who do so much for us during the year.
This is such a great idea! I love that and need to do more fun things like this I think!
This is a very thoughtful and creative idea. I am going to institute something like this in my classroom this Christmas.
Great idea and very creative. I use to work in a school setting and always enjoyed those type of gifts from my students. It is the thought that counts and I love the small gifts like this.
What a creative and fun way to spread the holiday cheer! I might use this for my kids teachers instead of the normal contribution for one large class gift card. It would also be fun for grandparents, if the lived near by.
This is such a cute idea! I have seen people do either a 12 Days of Christmas or give small gifts each night starting the first of December, and I think they would both be great traditions to start.
Neat idea. Thanks for sharing. I love it. My daughter and I were just discussing this last night.
This is a cute idea. I would have never thought of this for my son’s teachers.
Yes little surprises for 12 days sounds like tons of fun! Thanks for the idea. Getting kids to do the tags
I love doing things like this. The kids will get excited for each day and it’s fun to think of clever gifts.
What a cute idea! This is such a fun way to really get them into the Christmas spirit.
Fantastic idea that can be tailored to anyone. It’s like a personalized advent calendar and a fun way to count down to Christmas!
These ideas are great! I used to do lotion and then read a post by a teacher and it looks like EVERYONE does that! Lotion is great but not when you get 15!
Such a super cute and thoughtful idea!! I know a lot of people who would love this!!
Such great ideas. I love homemade goodies and I know others do too.
What an adorable idea for getting into the season. I really love cute ideas like this that give the kids and myself memories. Fun! fun! Fun!
That is a fantastic idea! If anyone deserves it, it’s certainly teachers!
I love this idea Aimee! I usually buy chocolates for my daughters teachers.
What a fun way to give and I bet my kids would love putting something like this together. Thanks for sharing
What a terrific idea! I used to always get my kids teacher’s presents but now they are grown so I don’t have to do it anymore but I would have loved to do something like this back then.
This is such a fun idea. I am sure the teachers are loving it.
This is a great idea. I’d do this for the advent calendar.
What a fun ideal! I would have loved to get 12 gifts from my students back in the day.
So instead of one gift, you have them 12?! I knew I should have been a teacher :p Stupid me for wanting to be a lawyer. They don’t get cool gifts like this! 🙂
These are really cute ideas! So creative and I was thinking of doing something like this for our mail lady.
That is an awesome idea! I love it. I might use this for my kids teachers.
