My kids love chocolate Easter bunnies and chocolate covered eggs along with the rest of amazing candies like Brach’s jelly beans and rope candy but as their mom, I like to encourage the Easter bunny to surprise them with a few non-candy Easter basket gifts.
In addition to chocolate bunnies, there are some great items that can be added to your child’s Easter basket. From toys that will encourage them to play outside to learning toys, there are so many great non-candy Easter basket ideas.
- Thames & Kosmos Rabbit’s Hat Magic Tricks– My 7-year-old loves to perform magic tricks. Thames & Kosmos have a huge variety of portable mini magic kits that give your little magicians everything they need for a perfect magic show.
- Magformers– Does your child love to build? Magformers has an entire set of magnetic building sets that kids, both boys, and girls, are guaranteed to love. These sets are STEM approved and aid the development of the brain through constructive play.
- PBS Plug & Play HDMI Streaming Stick– This is the world’s first and only kid-safe television streaming stick that streams dozens of shows from PBS KIDS directly to your television and lets you watch PBS KIDS programming live. Kids can also sing along with their favorite songs from PBS KIDS and play fun, educational games that will keep them entertained for countless hours.
- Stomp Rocket– I have included the Stomp Rocket in a few of my other posts such as my post, STEM Toys for Kids of All Ages. The Stomp Rocket is a great way to get your kids outside. It is 100% kid powered. Kids can run, jump and STOMP to launch these rockets up to 400 feet in the air — that’s longer than a football field, including the end zone.
- Go Be Kind book– This is the perfect book to give away during the Easter holiday. I love this book for kids. The message it sends our youth is one that should be shared with people of all ages. Go Be Kind is a series of daily adventures that will help you rediscover the greatest human gift—kindness, which inspires interpersonal connection and is the most rewarding way to lead a more magnificent life. Go buy this book and gift it to your kids.
- smART Sketcher Projector– If you have a little artist in the family, this smART Sketcher Projector is the perfect non-candy Easter basket gift. It assists kids with learning how to draw and compliments STEAM learning. In addition, it includes an app that allows you to convert real pictures into “Learn to Draw” sketches. This is such an amazing and modern toy that will get kids off of the electronics and encourage them to be creative.
- Creative Cafe’ Barista Bar Kid’s Frappe Drink Maker– My kids love to make drink concoctions so this Frape Drink Maker is perfect for kids and adults that want to have some fun for themselves. This kit includes authentic, reusable frappe cup, lid, and spoon straw along with apple, mango, and strawberry cream flavors. Kids can play chef or they can make their favorite spring drinks.
- Trinkets– Kids love little Easter trinkets. From stickers to bubbles to paddle balls, Oriental Trading has a huge variety of fun Easter items that are perfect for stuffing eggs with and are also perfect for prizes if you plan on having an Easter party.
There are so many amazing non-candy Easter basket ideas that the Easter bunny can include in your child’s basket. I love that most of these are STEM-focused, educational and encourage kids to go outside. Make sure that before you and your kids go outside to enjoy the beautiful Spring weather that you protect yourself and them from mosquitos. Para’kito Mosquito Repellent are sourced from the best natural essential oils/ingredients worldwide and are DEET free.
