I love Walt Disney World and I really love the Magic Kingdom. If I had to pick my favorite park at Walt Disney World, I would have to say that the Magic Kingdom is my favorite one. Right, when I walk through the gates of the Magic Kingdom I immediately feel a sense of happiness. The sounds, the smells, the happiness that crosses my face when I see Mickey or Minnie and of course the beautiful castle. Everything about the Magic Kingdom is amazing but there are 5 must-do attractions at the Magic Kingdom that you must do before you have to leave to go back to your castle.
Even though every single attraction at Walt Disney World is a must do, just in case you don’t have time to do everything I wanted to share with you my 5 must-do attractions at the Magic Kingdom. These are 5 attractions that I make sure to do every time I am at Disney inside the Magic Kingdom.
- Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin®- this is such a fun game that allows competition with your rider. It keeps you on your toes and allows for a lot of fun and laughter. Ride Tip: If you want to get on the ride faster, go through the Single Rider line. You won’t be focused on the person next to you, so you won’t be missing anything by not sitting with your buddy.
- Dumbo the Flying Elephant®- No matter if you are 1 or 101 the Dumbo ride is an absolute must! Dumbo is a classic Disney film and once you get on the ride you start to feel the magic. After Dumbo lifts off you can see all of Disney all around you as the wind blows through your hair. In addition, for those that may not know, WDW gave Dumbo the Flying Elephant® a facelift a few years ago. Now there are 2 Dumbo rides and a play and resting spot under his big tent. Standing in line is not as painful as it used to be.
- “it’s a small world”®- I love this ride! Not only is it relaxing and a great way to get out of the heat or cold but it is truly beautiful and it’s a classic. Dolls from all around the world are dressed in their finest and they sing in their language. This ride lets you travel all over the world and experience a little bit of magic and a lot of happiness.
- Space Mountain®- This ride is wild! It starts out slow and then BAM, you begin to ask yourself, ‘What the heck just happened?’. Once again this attraction is a classic. It’s been around as long as I can remember and I can remember the first time I rode it. The lights and speed are just amazing. I must be honest, however, the speed nowadays turns my stomach but it is still a must do.
- Enchanted Tales with Belle- As a mom with little kids, I saved the best for last. Enchanted Tales with Belle is a newer attraction at the Magic Kingdom and it is truly a must do for boys and girls. After you walk through Maurice’s cottage you will then have a seat in the Beast’s library and wait for Belle to enter. Once she enters you will become part of the show. The great thing about Enchanted Tales with Belle, is that no child is left out. Every child, if they choose, gets a part in her performance and at the end, you get to have your picture taken with Belle. It is so much fun and don’t worry, Belle needs grown-ups to volunteer also.
The Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World is magical and has so many attractions that should not be missed. Since there is not enough time in a day to always do all of the attractions I hope you consider my 5 must attractions at the Magic Kingdom. What are your must-do attractions at the Magic Kingdom?
Hey!What about the parades! It can be once in a life time experience. And the princesses! I only agree with some, so I am highly afended.
I LOVE Enchanted Tales with Belle. We didn’t know what it was the first time we went. We were delighted. Such a wonderful time listen and interacting with the story. The icing on the crack was a moment with Belle. It was all so relaxed and lovely!
Also, we always hit Buzz multiple times. It is definitely a family favorite.
The Haunted Mansion!!!!! Love, love , love it! And the Electrical Parade and Fireworks at night ❤️❤️❤️
Hey! Do you happen to know if the space mountain does an actual loop?
Thanks! I like thrill rides but I hate loops (screwdrivers etc are okayish)
and we’re going to Disneyworld for the first time in September, and I’d like
to be prepared!
No loops, just fast
We are planning our first trip for November this year. Just me and my daughter and we are super excited! We are looking to do 2 days in Magic Kingdom so we can see as much as possible along with 1 day in Animal Kingdom and we are not sure about our 4th day pass. Can’t come quick enough for us!!!
You will have SO much fun!
Would definitely add Pirates of the Caribbean to the list!!!
What a great list of things to do while at Disney! I hope to take my family very soon and we’ll have to hit each of these things!
One of these days I’m going to make it to Disney, Universal, etc, etc in FLA.
I need to have a Disney vacation soon. Love all the pictures and ideas
buzz is a fave here. We get very competitive in there, even though we know hubby’s going to win it. 😉
Ha ha, your husband sounds like my husband.
Buzz’s space ranger spin is a must for us because the whole fam can do it. I have never ridden space mountain…I’m a wuss.
You missed Peter Pan’s flight though. That’s the best ride IMHO.
We were at Disneyland a few years ago and I thought it was so clever how they snuck modern and recent characters into the Small World ride!
I haven’t been in a real long time to Disney. Never to Disney World but many times to Disneyland. Looks like Disney is still a great place to visit.
These look like you had a lot of fun. the pictures say it all. I need to start planning my trip too
I agree! We loved every one of these attractions when we went. Both my husband and daughter were extras in the Enchanted Tales with Belle and loved it!
Wasn’t Enchanted Tales the best!
This is so great to know about! We are planning a trip for some time, not sure yet when, but I know my daughter would LOVE It’s a small world and it definitely sounds like a must.
I would like to check them out when I go there. Sounds like fun.
Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin would be my Grandsons favorite. They may be going next year.
I cannot wait to go to the Magic Kingdom, I have never been but I am planning to go next Winter or Spring, still undecided on the date still.
Love Space Mountain! Disney is such a fun place to visit.
I love Magic Kingdom. Space Mountain is my favorite ride!
We used to go to Disney every year when my kids were younger. These were definitely some of their favorite attractions!
I love the Magic Kingdom with a passion, I totally agree with these top five attraction!
Oh my! I can’t wait to get to Disney! This will be so awesome. So much to see and do!! Magic Kingdom looks amazing!
I have boys, so we would skip seeing Belle. I would add Pirates of the Caribbean to your list. It;s our favorite.
I agree with your list… we hit many of these with our preschooler last month!
Love this post. Disney is my happy place and I agree these are must do rides.
Oh Disney. I agree with all of these (though I haven’t checked out the tales with Belle yet – she is my fave princess though 🙂 ). My hubby LOVES the Buzz Lightyear ride
I thought I heard they were moving Small World. Glad to see that isn’t true! It’s a classic and something I remember from my childhood!
I hope you heard wrong. I love Small World!
Ahh this post just took me back in time! I adore adore the It’s A Small World ride. Like, I’m already dreaming of next summer! And I remember LOVING the Buzz game/ride. But, my number one fav is the TIKI ROOM!!!! I just love those birds.
Yes, Yes, Yes! I agree with all of these recommendations!
We took our family to The Magic Kingdom in January and our four year old daughter talks about our trip every day. Storytime with Belle was definitely the highlight of her vacation!
Buzz Lightyear and It’s A Small World are my 2 favorite rides! I’ve been riding A Small World since I was a teen – that’s a long time ago. And every year I compete with the grandkids during the Buzz Lightyear ride. Space Mountain used to be a favorite, but I’m too chicken, now. 🙂
I’m not really a big Disney person, but this looks fun! Although I’ll probably wait until I have that other kid and Nug is old enough to remember. Then we all pack up and do it one and done.
One of my fav places! I love the pics & you had a couple of my fav rides on there….Buzz, Small World & Space Mountain. Looks like you and your fam had a wonderful time in such a “Magical” place! 🙂
Love love love Disney! Our 1st trip was last year and we can’t wait to go back! We hit 3 out of the 5 last year…we didn’t see It’s a Small World or Tales with Bell! But there is always next time…we had such an awesome time!
