In our house, we have 3 little girls that love their daddy. Unfortunately, their dad works a lot so they do not get a lot of one on one time with him.
Often times, since my schedule is more flexible than my husband’s, I will be the parent that takes my girls to fun activities around the town or to see the latest Disney movie.
It’s important for dads to create a bond with their daughters and one way is to take them on daddy-daughter dates. Here are 5 Reasons Dads Should Take Their Daughters on a Date.
Between school, work, and activities, it’s not always easy to find time to schedule time alone with their dad. Even though it’s not always easy to find time to have daddy-daughter dates, it’s important for both dad and daughter for many reasons.
- Create Memories: I have always told my girls that every moment is a memory. It’s important for girls to be able to look back and remember fun times that they had with their dad.
- Role Model: Girls need positive role models in their lives and dads should be their biggest one.
- Teaching Moments: In order for girls to know how men should treat women, they need to be taught the do’s and don’ts. In my opinion, dads are the best people to teach their daughters this very important life lesson.
- Give Mom a Break: Let’s face it, most moms rarely get a break away from their kids. I am, personally, around kids all day and night until I go to bed. Having a chance to focus on me and having a little bit of grown-up time is nice.
- Heartfelt Conversations: When you take your daughter out of her element, you’d be amazed at some of the conversations that are created. This is your chance to learn what is going on in her life and help her with any questions or concerns that she might have about life.
As parents, it’s imperative that we make time for our kids.
As fathers, it’s imperative that you make one on one time with your daughters. You are the most important male role model in their life, so give them something to look up to for years to come.
