Easy Turkey Meatballs

Lately, my girls have been begging me to make them a very simple pasta dish that included meatballs! They were tired of the meals I had been making and wanted something that did not include any vegetables and was 100% not healthy-ish. I agreed to make them a very simple pasta dish that did not include any vegetables but instead of making meatballs with beef, I decided to make them easy turkey meatballs.

When I make meals for my family, I try to use ground turkey instead of ground beef. I like the benefits that turkey offers such as it being low in fat and the protein that it offers. Thankfully, my girls didn’t even notice that I did not use beef.

  • 1-2 pounds of ground turkey
  • 3/4 cup bread crumbs (I used these)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup fresh grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1/4 cup of milk

This is the perfect recipe for kids to help with. The steps are simple and take very little time.

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  • Add all ingredients into a mixing bowl
  • Combine with a large spoon
  • Roll mixture into balls (not too big, not too small)
  • Place onto non-stick cookie sheet. (I love this cookie sheet, no spray necessary)
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through
  • Serve alone or with pasta

The next time I make Turkey Meatballs, I will consider adding diced bell peppers along with tiny bits of onions. I made these simple and kid-friendly because my kids have been begging for meatballs that they knew that they would love.
