Whenever one of my little ones is ready to incorporate solid foods into their diet, I always start them on Gerber Cereal. In all of my years, I have always had some cereal leftover and had always thrown it away. As I got older and more Pinterest savvy, I came to realize that there are so many ways that you can get creative with Gerber Cereal and Oatmeal. Since I have little ones that I take care of, I decided to make them a batch of Mini Chocolate Strawberry Banana Oatmeal Cookies with the leftover Lil’ Bits® that I had in my pantry.
Mini Chocolate Strawberry Banana Oatmeal Cookies are a simple recipe that is made with ingredients that you most likely already have in your pantry. In addition, you can substitute items or add additional items. For my recipe, I used 1 cup Gerber’s Lil’ Bits® Oatmeal Banana Strawberry, an egg, 1 tsp vanilla, 3 tablespoons melted butter (you can possibly substitute applesauce instead), 1/2 cup chocolate chips, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.
Mix all of the ingredients together.
Roll into little balls and Bake at 350 degrees for 7-10 minutes. You can keep them rolled or you can flatten them with a fork.
Once they are golden brown, remove them from the oven and let them cool.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Lil' Bits Oatmeal Banana Strawberry
- 1 Egg
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 3 tablespoons Melted Butter
- 1/2 cup Chocolate Chips
- 1/2 Cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven 350 degrees
- Mix all ingredients together
- Roll into small balls (you can flatten if you like)
- Spread out onto greased pan and bake for 7-10 minutes
- Let cool and enjoy!
These Mini Chocolate Strawberry Banana Oatmeal Cookies are the perfect sweet treat for little hands and big hands! I first fed these to my big kids and my husband and they loved them. They did not know until after they had gobbled them up that they were made with Gerber’s Lil’ Bits® Oatmeal.

These look great! My husband doesn’t like chocolate much (I don’t know what is wrong with him!) but with the strawberries added in he might eat them up! My toddler would eat them either way I am sure!
Mmmm, chocolate and strawberry and oatmeal. Scrumptious!
Your cookies look so delicious! I want to make them! Thanks for the recipe.
