Penne Pasta With Meatballs

I have a weakness for pasta, therefore we don’t make it too often in our home, but when we do… we eat it up! Since I was cooking for my girls I made sure to make it ‘kid friendly’; aka simple, but good. Penne Pasta with Meatballs is the perfect recipe.

Sauce: I make a simple sauce that includes 2 cans of sauce, 1 can of paste, fresh tomatoes and seasonings. Season your sauce to suit your taste buds. I use a combination of garlic salt, regular salt, pepper, Italian Seasoning, and Oregano.

After your sauce has brewed with your meatballs and your noodles have cooked it is time to layer the goodness. After I spray my pan, I start with the meatball sauce mix on the bottom, add noodles, add cheese and then repeat.

Bake at 350 degrees for around 20 minutes or until the glorious cheese bubbles. Once cooled enjoy the Penne Pasta with Meatballs.

That looks yummy. I have never made meatballs before. I think I may have tried once and they just fell apart.

  3. I’ve been loving meatballs. Too bad I’m to cheap to buy them and too lazy to make them that often. I have been able to get my daughter to help me some in the kitchen, which is pretty good for a 8.5yo. I found a new secret ingredient to put in my tomato/spaghetti sauce. It’s been a hit. Have you ever put pepperoni in your spaghetti sauce? Try it. My husband loves that version. I don’t like pepperoni that much, but I make it because I love him. =) Blessings to you~

  4. This looks yummy! How can you go wrong with meatballs, pasta and lots of mozzarella!

I never have baked pasta after I cooked it. I’ve always just made my sauce and then poured my noodles into the sauce and baked it for approximately 45-50 minutes. I will definitely have to try this method as the cooking time seems much faster.
