Simple Ways You Can Give New Moms Me Time

All new moms need Me Time. Here is a helpful list of ways to help new moms.

As a mom, it can be tough and sometimes impossible to have ‘Me Time’. We make schedules for our kids, we clean while they are napping, we try to put them to bed at 8 pm but there still doesn’t seem to be much time for ourselves. As an experienced mom of 3 little girls, I rarely find time for myself, so I know that new moms most likely have no time for themselves while taking care of their newborn along with their other kids and handling household duties. I have always been a big believer in helping others, so I thought I would compile a list of simple ways you can give new moms Me Time.

From my experience when you ask a new mom, or anyone really, if they need help, they most often tell you that they don’t. With that said, I do my best to give new moms Me Time without them really knowing it. Here are some great ways to do this:

  • Surprise them with a cooked meal or a variety of meals that can be frozen and used as needed.
  • Gift them gift cards for places that deliver such as the local pizza place or a Chinese restaurant.
  • Offer to babysit at no cost so the new mom can get some fresh air and peace. While mom is out, pick up the house and start a load of laundry.
  • Offer to babysit at your house, so that the new mom can take a nap.
  • Visit new baby and mom and take charge. Offer to take care of the baby while mom takes a hot bath or just relaxes.
  • Gift them a cleaning service gift card.
  • If the new mom has older kids, offer to take them to the movies or to the park so mom can relax and bond with the new baby.
  • When you run errands, text or call the new mom and ask if she needs anything from the store. This really isn’t a way of giving her ‘me time’ but it is a way to save her time.
  • When you are at the store, pick up a pack of Luvs diapers and bring them to the new mom. This is a great way to prevent mom from having to unexpectedly run to the store while adding more things to her schedule. Doing this might also allow her to squeeze in some ‘Me Time’ as well.

As the official diaper of experienced parents, Luvs is committed to providing a quality diaper. They recognize that parenting can be difficult, so diapering shouldn’t have to be. Luvs conducted a poll of moms from across the country to uncover what parents value the most. Take a look at this cute, but informative graphic.

Luvs knows parents and they recently introduced the new and improved Luvs Ultra Leakguard Diapers with NightLock Plus™ . They are softer and more absorbent than before, with large stretch tabs for easier fastening and ultra leakage protection. They also provide a money back guarantee.

Being a new mom can be tough and really exhausting, so it’s important to accept or ask for help from family and friends. Even though parents put their little ones first, it’s important for them to recharge and make time for themselves. Here is a sweet, funny and very truthful video from Luv’s. Check it out here.

What simple things can you give or do for new moms to give them the ‘me time’ that they deserve and need?
