Years ago I had rice pudding for the first time in my life. I had never tried it because I thought that a mixture of rice and pudding sounded strange to me. Little did I know that it wasn’t actually pudding, but a mixture of so many amazing ingredients that made my taste buds and my girl’s taste buds go crazy! Since this was a dessert that was simple to make and one that my girls loved, I decided to learn how to make it and share my Simple Rice Pudding recipe with you.
My Rice Pudding recipe only needs a handful of ingredients and most of these ingredients you will most likely already have in your pantry and refrigerator. All you need is 3 cups of milk, 2 cups of cooked Riceland Boil in Bag Rice, 1/3 cup of sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon.
Combine your milk, cooked Riceland Boil in Bag Rice, sugar, and cinnamon into a saucepan. Bring to boil but make sure to stir periodically. Once the Rice Pudding has started to boil, lower the heat and simmer for around 20 minutes. Once again, make sure to periodically stir so the mixture does not burn and stick to the bottom of the pan. Once the milk has absorbed and the pudding has become thick, remove from heat, allow to cool and serve.
Ingredients
- 3 cups milk
- 2 cups cooked Riceland Boil in Bag Rice
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
- Combine milk, rice, sugar and cinnamon into a saucepan
- Boil (remember to stir)
- Simmer uncovered for 20 minutes (remember to stir)
- Once the milk has absorbed and the pudding has thickened remove from heat
- Serve in cute little bowls with a dash of cinnamon
- Enjoy!
This is the most amazing Rice Pudding I have ever made in my life. I think that what makes it incredibly amazing besides the added cinnamon is that I made it with Riceland Boil in Bag Rice. If you’ve never heard of this rice, it grown by American family farmers in Arkansas and Missouri. This rice cooks in 10 minutes and is mess free. In addition, it is gluten free, sodium free and cholesterol free.
