I love Christmas and I really love making Christmas crafts. I run a home daycare and I always try and make something special for the moms and dads of the kids that I watch. This year I decided to create and gift some cute and special gifts using mason jars. Since every child is different I wanted to create unique designs for each child. For this little girl’s family, I thought that the perfect gift for her family would be a Snowman Family Mason Jar.
This is the sweetest mason jar I’ve made in a long time and this particular one is perfect because each little snowman represents each member of this child’s family. The Snowman Family Mason Jar takes only a few supplies:
- Multi Surface Satin Acryllic Paint– You will need light blue paint and white paint. My favorite brand is Martha Stewart but this brand is also good.
- Mason Jar– Make sure to use the wide mason jar so that the child’s fingers can fit on one side of the jar.
- Paintbrushes– I like to use the sponge type of paintbrush so it’s smoother on the kid’s hands but regular paintbrushes work also.
- Modge Podge– Mod Podge is optional but I like to use the Modge Podge with Glitter because I love sparkle!
- Paint Pens– Make sure to select a variety of paint pen colors such as black, orange, and other colors that you choose. My favorite brand to use are Sharpie Paint Pens.
This project takes only a few simple steps and can actually be completed in under 2 hours.
I am in love with this project. The Snowman Family Mason Jar turned out perfect and I know that this little girl’s parents will love it and appreciate their new keepsake.
This is the perfect gift for parents, grandparents, and loved ones.
