Three Meat and Cheese Wonton Poppers

I have always seen little Wonton Cups at parties. I always thought they were super cute and I loved the crunchiness of them along with the amazing variety of flavors. I loved these wontons so much, I decided to make them for my family and since I have 3 girls that are at times picky, I wanted to make sure that I made these wonton poppers kid friendly. Since my family loves pizza I made Three Meat and Cheese Wonton Poppers. 

Three Meat Wonton Poppers are an easy recipe that is perfect for kids and grown ups of all ages. The cheese, meat, and vegetable pieces are perfect together.

These Three Meat and Cheese Wonton Poppers are great because you can change the ingredients each time that you make them. You can also make a variety of different flavors of wonton poppers in each batch because they are that simple to make. 

  • 1 package of wonton wrappers – most likely you won’t use them all but if you make multiple batches you can- these are found in the refrigerated section in the produce section
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 4 oz softened cream cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheese – a mix of mozzarella and cheddar 
  • 4-5 strips of cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 3 -4 chicken tenders cooked, diced
  • 10-12 pepperonis cut into quarters
  • diced jalapenos, optional 

This is a simple recipe that is a great recipe for your kids to help you with.

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Coat regular size muffin tray with nonstick spray
  • Blend cream cheese in a small mixing bowl
  • Stir in cheese and meat

  • Place a wonton in each muffin compartment
  • Spoon a teaspoon or a bit more into each wonton wrap but do not overfill
  • Fold one side of the wonton wrap over to the next side (see picture)

  • Bake for 10 minutes
  • Remove from the oven and place each wonton on a cooling rack

If you want to make Wonton Cups versus the Poppers, you simply prepare them the same way but do not fold the wonton wrappers over.
